The California Energy Commission has accepted the application to build a 177 Megawatts solar plant. Ausra’s Carrizo Energy Solar Farm will start the edification in 2009 to produce electricity early on 2010. Ausra is a Silicon Valley Start’up that has recently signed a 20 years power purchase agreement with the giant PG&E (PCG).
This plant is the second accepted in 7 weeks, by California State. The Golden State, endowed of sunshine, demonstrates another time its strenght of will to have a leadership in the renewable energy sector.
